With the moves the Philadelphia 76ers made in the offseason, it was obvious that some players weren't going to return. That's just the way it goes in the league when it comes to roster building and teams preparing for what's to come in a chase for the Larry O'Brien trophy.
The Sixers have had a busy offseason as they have brought in LeBron James, Jaylen Brown, Anfernee Simons, and a slew of other additions. With those moves, the Sixers have one of the stronger rosters in the league in an effort to bring home a championship.

That means there isn't much room to bring back Tyrese Martin. The 3-year guard played nine games for Philadelphia in the 2025-26 season and averaged 2.2 points and 1.1 rebounds. He will now head overseas to play for FC Barcelona as the team announced on Instagram.
