New York Knicks head coach Mike Brown attended practice for the San Francisco 49ers on Monday, and pledged his allegiance to the 49ers over the New York Jets and New York Giants in the process.

In a video posted on Twitter after practice, Brown gave love to his current hometown teams, but with his son Cameron on the 49ers coaching staff it's not a surprise he's holding it down for the Bay Area.
"The Niners are great, man," Brown said. "I'm excited for the season. I'm always rooting them on. Giants, Jets, I apologize, but it is what it is. My heart, love, all that stuff is right here in the Bay Area. But ever since my youngest son became a part of this staff, I bleed orange and blue with the Knicks, but there's a little sliver in that heart when you slice it open that the red comes out. And I make sure everybody knows it when I'm back in New York."

Brown's NFL allegiances are probably not a huge deal to fans of New York NFL teams who also root for the Knicks considering he just helped bring the Knicks a championship by way of one of the most dominant postseason runs the NBA will ever see.
It's also hard to fault the guy for cheering on the team that gave his son an opportunity to be on an NFL coaching staff.
Brown helped break down the 49ers huddle after Monday's practice and tried to instill some championship wisdom on a team that hasn't won a Super Bowl in 32 years. If Brown's presence plays even a minor role in the 49ers hoisting their sixth Lombardi Trophy, there may not be a more beloved sports figure coast-to-coast than Brown.
