Browns' head coach Todd Monken publicly reveals his plans for the Browns' QB competition in the early parts of camp.
Tuesday marked practice number six for the Browns, and their install phase is coming to a close before the real evaluation begins. Furthermore, there are a couple of natural deadlines that are built into the Browns' schedule, and the first one is in a week and a half.

The Browns' opening preseason game is Saturday, August 15th against the Buffalo Bills. As it stands right now, Monken doesn't know who is going to be the starting quarterback for that first game. He will be finding that out soon.
NFL Network's Cameron Wolfe reported today that Monken told him, "It is a true quarterback competition. Monken just told me a few moments ago that he is going to start one quarterback the first preseason game, the other will start the second one, and most likely, the leader of the competition is going to start the third."
There is the plan. It is out in the open, and now Browns fans know exactly what the next couple of weeks are going to be.
From the outside looking in, if Shedeur cleans up his operation and everything that happens before the snap, then he will be firmly in the driver's seat. All reports out of camp are that Watson has potentially lost a couple of steps and doesn't look like even a shell of his former self, as Browns fans were even 'booing' him at practice on Tuesday.
All of this will begin to take shape over the next few practices, and the quarterback competition is going to start solving itself.
The plan is out in the open, and the next three weeks will determine who Browns fans will be cheering on come the first weekend in September.
