After sending Kenyon Sadiq to the NFL as the first TE last year, drafted by the New York Jets in the first round, Oregon has yet another TE expected to be the best in the nation this season in Jamari Johnson. On Wednesday morning, Johnson was named to the Mackey Award Watch List, an honor given out to the best tight end in the nation.
Johnson transferred to Oregon last year from Louisville, and put up 510 yards and three touchdowns while playing behind Sadiq, a Mackey Award finalist. In his career, Johnson has hauled in 45 catches for 668 yards and four touchdowns.

This season, Johnson is expected to be one of the best offensive players for the Ducks, leading a group of young and extremely talented TEs that also include Andrew Olesh and 5-star freshman Kendre Harrison.
