The Rams may be close to re-signing Aaron Donald

The Los Angeles Rams and Aaron Donald seem close to a deal that would have the star defensive player rejoin the team for 2026 as they make their Super Bowl run.

Head coach Sean McVay says Donald is very close to coming back.
“He’s putting himself in a position to make a decision. And so, he’s working hard, he’s feeling good,” McVay said. “He’s really been doing some different things that are in alignment with being able to play this game, activating his lower half, and he’s feeling good so far.”
McVay added that Donald could be back as soon as next week.
“I think we’ll have a little bit more of an update once we leave here and get back to Woodland Hills. But things are looking positive. But again, he doesn’t owe us anything. We’ll take it a day at a time."

There has been speculation for a while that since his retirement two years ago, Donald wants to return to the team, and the rumors have gotten louder since the Rams traded for Myles Garrett a few months ago.
If Donald does return(and it looks like he will), the Rams could have the best defense in the NFC, although the Seattle Seahawks may have something to say about that.
But this year's team seems to be hell-bent on doing whatever it takes to win a Super Bowl this year and apparently has Donald itching to come back. The only question is now: when will the official announcement be made?
