Dana White breaks his silence on follow-up to Donald Trump event

The White House played host to UFC Freedom 250 on its South Lawn in June to celebrate the United States’ 250th anniversary and President Donald Trump’s 80th birthday. The event wasn’t without its hiccups, including a reported $30 million loss, but UFC President and CEO Dana White still views the event as a massive success.

“In every way you can measure success, … it was monstrous… You don’t get calls from billionaires flipping out too often,” White said of a phone call he had with Paramount CEO David Ellison after the event discussing its success.
However, White was insistent that he’d never do another event quite like it.
“I can’t afford it,” White said. “There’s no [freaking] way we can do this again. I’ll never do the Sphere again, and we’ll never do this again.”
“We are talking about something”
On Tuesday, though, White appeared on The Pat McAfee Show via a video call and hinted that he may be changing his tune just a bit, even if the scale might not be quite as grand as the Freedom 250 event’s.
“Never be anything like the White House ever again,” White said. “I mean, that night, you know, we already had high expectations for it and I was blown away. It’s the greatest thing that I’ve ever been a part of. Being there live was, was amazing.
“But now my head of production, Craig Borsari, is so cocky after he absolutely killed that event. We are, we are talking about something right now that he came up with. This was, this was his idea. And I love it. I have to do some more groundwork on it. And if I end up doing this, I’ll announce it here first.”

White says his head of production, Craig Borsari, came up with the idea the other day, but he still needs to do some more groundwork before moving forward with it.
