ESPN NFL Draft analyst Matt Miller faces charges from June car crash

Sports media is still trying to wrap its head around ESPN’s Matt Miller and a truly outlandish story that rocked the NFL Draft analyst last month.

The longtime draft guru was placed on leave in July after facing serious accusations of fraud and scamming people out of money. The allegations stem from fantasy football leagues, raffles and other events hosted by Miller.

A new court filing in Missouri is now piling onto Miller’s troubles though after his June car accident. The ESPN analyst suffered life-threatening injuries after hitting a semi-truck head on in his home state.
Miller is being charged for a misdemeanor on the basis of operating a vehicle and failing to drive on the right half of the road. His accident led to a surgery that forced doctors to amputate his left arm months after the 2026 NFL Draft.

Several players from fantasy football leagues allege that Miller didn’t pay them their winnings. Similar stories have been recounted on social media regarding charitable events as well.

The draft analyst regularly stated that he was working with charitable organization, 417 Foundation. However, Missouri’s Secretary of State issued a cease and desist to the foundation seven years ago.
Miller reportedly still collected money for the charity after 2019, which has created further drama in this story. ESPN remains mum on Miller’s current legal situation as he continues to heal from his surgery last month.
