Juventus offered chance to sign Real Madrid star with uncertain future

Real Madrid are unlikely to make any more signings this summer, but there will be further departures before the transfer window closes. Jacobo Ortega is primed to join Strasbourg after impressing in La Fabrica over the last 12 months, but in terms of the first team, there are several candidates that could be moved on before the end of the month.
Raul Asencio and Eduardo Camavinga have been told that they do not count for new head coach Jose Mourinho, although their possible exits are unlikely due to the fact that neither player has any intention to leave this summer. On the other hand, there are stars wanted by the Portuguese that have chances to be sold, with one of them being Andriy Lunin.

Lunin, who impressed during Real Madrid’s recent friendly victory over Deportivo La Coruna, has a contract until 2030, but he could depart well before this expires. As per Nicolo Schira (via MD), Juventus have been offered the chance to sign him this summer, following their recent failed move for Parma goalkeeper Zion Suzuki.
Alongside Guglielmo Vicario and Anatoliy Trubin, Lunin has emerged as one of the options for Juventus to strengthen their goalkeeping ranks with a new number one. The Ukraine international could be open to become a regular starter elsewhere, although he does still seem content to play behind Thibaut Courtois at this stage.
Lunin’s long-term future at Real Madrid is in doubt
Lunin, who is only 27, will have ambitions to become Real Madrid’s new first-choice goalkeeper when Courtois leaves/retires, which could happen as early as next summer. However, recent reports have claimed that he is not considered to be of the required level to replace the Belgian veteran, and plans to sign a successor are already underway.
With this in mind, Lunin could move on himself, knowing that he has a ceiling at the Bernabeu. Juventus would be a good move, although it’s unlikely that he will head there this summer.
