MHT-CET 2026: PCM, PCB Students Eligible For Round 3 CAP For BBA, BMS, BBM And BCA Admissions

Mumbai, August 23, 2026: In a major development for higher education aspirants in Maharashtra, the State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell announced on August 22, 2026, that candidates who appeared for the MHT-CET 2026 under the PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) and PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) streams are now eligible to participate in Round 3 of the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) for undergraduate professional programmes, including BBA, BMS, BBM and BCA.

Eligibility For Round 3

The policy change, implemented for the 2026–27 academic year, previously permitted PCM and PCB candidates to be considered eligible for these professional management and computer application courses alongside dedicated CET applicants.

However, priority was strictly accorded to candidates who appeared for the specific BBA, BMS, BBM and BCA entrance tests during the initial two counselling rounds. With the first two CAP rounds officially concluded, state authorities have opened the third round to clear vacant seats by incorporating eligible science stream students.

Option Form Submission Dates

According to the official schedule released by the State CET Cell, the option form submission window for BBA, BMS and BBM programmes opens on August 23, 2026, and will close on August 25, 2026.

For candidates seeking admission into the Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) course, the option form filling timeline is scheduled separately from August 25 to August 27, 2026.
