The Dallas Cowboys are heading back home to The Star to continue prepping for the 2026 season. They have one more preseason game to go, and then there are cutdowns to create the 53-man roster.
One area the Cowboys are presently short in is tight end. A couple of injuries have necessitated a move as the team adds a new player. Camp pet cat Michael Trigg has been slowed with a toe injury after a hot start to camp. He missed last week’s preseason game and looks like he might miss this week’s. He my end up being an IR candidate for the start of the season.

Van Vooren has an unusual story to this point, he was a track star in college and only in the past few years transitioned back to playing football after last playing in high school.
Defensive tackle Kevin Gilliam had to be released to make room for Van Vooren.
