It did not take long for Green Bay Packers rookie edge rusher Dani Dennis-Sutton to make an impact play in his preseason debut on Friday night. On the opening drive for the Arizona Cardinals, Dennis-Sutton won on an explosive inside move and sacked veteran quarterback Gardner Minshew for a 10-yard loss to help stall a scoring drive.

The rookie rusher got inside on a stunt, beating both the right tackle and right guard before taking down Minshew in the backfield. The sack came on 2nd-and-10, pushed the Cardinals into a 3rd-and-20 situation and eventually forced a field goal attempt.

While the sack won't count for the rookie's career stats, it did provide an exciting moment for a player who is expected to help the Packers in the pass-rushing department.

Dennis-Sutton, a fourth-round pick of the Packers, is making his preseason debut after missing the first two games with a heat-related illness.

With Micah Parsons expected to start the season on the PUP list, the Packers are likely to keep Dennis-Sutton, Lukas Van Ness, Barryn Sorrell, Brenton Cox and Collin Oliver at edge rusher.
