PERFORMANCE OF THE WEEK
▶ BRAYDIN JOHNSON, LESLIE: The senior receiver had seven receptions for a single-game school record 238 yards and four touchdowns in the Blackhawks' season-opening 57-30 victory over Stockbridge on Friday, Aug. 28. added four rushes for 40 yards and a touchdown and also made a 27-yard field goal. All five of Johnson's touchdowns came during an opening half when Leslie scored 41 points.
TEAM OF THE WEEK
▶WAVERLY: The Warriors halted a nine-game losing streak by rallying in the second half to a 20-19 road victory over Fowlerville The win was the first for Waverly since a 21-14 victory over Tecumseh in Week 9 of the 2024 season. It also marked the first victory for the Warriors under second-year coach Korey Ringer.
