Rams have one of the oldest rosters in the NFL for 2026

The core of the Los Angeles Rams’ roster has been built through the draft, with young stars such as Puka Nacua, Kobie Turner and Steve Avila playing key roles over the last three years. But for as much young talent as the Rams have, they’re also loaded with veteran superstars.

It’s a great balance of youth and experience, with Matthew Stafford and Myles Garrett complementing Nacua, Turner and others. But relative to the rest of the NFL, the Rams’ roster is one of the oldest in the league.

Spotrac calculated the average age of every team’s 53-man roster after final cuts on Sunday, and the Rams have the third-oldest team. Their average age is 27.3 years old, younger than only the Steelers and Falcons (27.4). The Dolphins are the youngest team in football with an average age of 25.3.

The oldest players on the Rams are Stafford (38), David Quessenberry (36), Aaron Donald (35), Joe Cardona (34), Tyler Higbee (33) and Davante Adams (33). The other three players who are at least 30 years old are Coleman Shelton (31), Myles Garrett (30) and Poona Ford (30).

The entire NFC West skews on the older side. The 49ers are the sixth-oldest (27.2), the Seahawks are the eighth-oldest (27.0) and the Cardinals are the 11th-oldest (26.8).

The good news for the Rams is that most of the younger players are franchise building blocks who should be around for years to come – players such as Nacua, Kamren Kinchens, Trent McDuffie, Terrance Ferguson and Josaiah Stewart.
