Julius Randle is now playing for the Brooklyn Nets, but he has a long history with the city of New York. From 2019 to 2014, Randle was one of the New York Knicks' best players, and while they were mediocre at some point, he was keeping them afloat with his play.
In fact, he was a three-time All-Star while playing for the Knicks, and he also received two All-NBA nods while playing for them. He set the tone for this Knicks team, but alas, he was the trade piece that helped them acquire Karl-Anthony Towns, who became one of the primary reasons behind the 2026 championship.

Now that his time in Minnesota has ended, he is back in New York, but this time, with the Nets.
This has led to a lot of people showing appreciation for Randle, especially the Knicks fans. Some of them might have had a shaky relationship with Randle while he was playing for the Knicks, but even the critics cannot deny that he did have a huge impact on the Knicks franchise.

"Ah, no, I appreciate that. What the organization accomplished is great. Been a long time coming. Took a lot of hard years, a lot of different players, to build it up to what it was. It’s amazing. Definitely look forward to creating that in Brooklyn," Randle said in response to him being appreciated for his impact for the Knicks.
Moving forward, Randle will be trying to help the Nets succeed. It will be quite a challenging task to help lead the Nets, but he helped the Knicks succeed in a shaky period. He could do it again, but this time, with the other team in town.
