EXETER — The Exeter High School boys and girls cross country teams swept a tri-race with Spaulding and Timberlane on Tuesday, Sept. 8.

The Exeter girls posted a perfect score of 15 points by claiming the top five spots in the race. Lexi Paterna captured the individual title in 14 minutes, 17 seconds. Izzie Bremer finished second in 15:06, followed by Bri Paterna (15:17), Ashleigh MacEachern (15:54) and Lena McRae (15:56).

Spaulding finished with 50 points, while Timberlane did not record a team score.

In the boys race, Exeter placed five runners among the top six and had a team score of 18.

Xavier Garcia de Paredes won the race in 13:28.7, followed by teammate Logen Poteet in second at 13:28.8. Noah Melendy placed fourth in 13:59, Jackson Tooker was fifth in 14:09 and Colby Orleans finished sixth in 14:22.

Spaulding was second with 47 points and Timberlane third with 77.

Portsmouth trio share medalist honors

WINDHAM — Grey Gagnon, Will Renna and Gus Baker all carded rounds of 1-under-par 34, helping Portsmouth to a four-team Division I sweep on Tuesday, Sept. 8 at Windham Country Club.

Portsmouth had a team score of 181, beating Windham (199), Bishop Guertin (203) and Winnacunnet (219).

"What a performance at a tight, challenging golf course," Portsmouth coach Kyle Harrison said. "This team is solid from 1 to 8."

Grant Haberstroh added a 39 for the Clippers, while Ryder Leduc finished with a 40.

Winnacunnet was led by Mason Anastas with a 40. Nah Whar shot a 43, Will Koutalidis carded a 44, and Norah Fleming and Anthony Del Medico each finished with 46s

Exeter second in four-team match

GOFFSTOWN — Zach Thomas and Cooper Pettigrove both shot a team-best 1-over-par 36 for Exeter in its four-team match at Stonebridge Country Club.

Concord won the match with a 184, beating Exeter (186), Goffstown (194) and Nashua North (198).

STA's Perry shoots medalist round

DOVER — Junior Finn Perry fired a 2-under-par 33 to earn medalist honors and lead St. Thomas Aquinas to a Division II sweep of Lebanon, John Stark and ConVal at Cochecho Country Club.

The Saints finished with a team score of 186, beating Lebanon (206), John Stark (214) and ConVal (270).

Ryan Allard shot a 1-over 36 for the Saints, while teammates Jack Weigold (38), Cooper Coate (39), and Grant Baker (40) rounded out the STA scoring.

Oyster River's Joglekar earns medalist honors

WOLFEBORO — Yash Joglekar earned medalist honors with a 2-over-par 37 to lead Oyster River to a second-place finish in a four-team Division II match at Kingswood Golf Club.

Bow won the match with a team score of 202, followed by Oyster River (207), Plymouth (225) and Kingswood (225).

Joey Alvarez shot a 38 for the Bobcats, while Wyatt Churchill carded a 43, Eli Evans a 44, and Rowen Alexander a 45.

Duo leads York in Class B South

BRUNSWICK, Maine - Liam Connors and Lachlan Morris both carded a 3-over-par 40 for York in its three-team Class B South match at Brunswick Golf Club.

Freeport won with a team score of 167, while North Yarmouth Academy (174) and York (175) placed second and third, respectively.

Bancroft Potter shot a 45 for the Wildcats, while Max Hunter and Ian Scarponi both shot a 50.

LONDONDERRY — Evyn Christie had three goals and Daphne Corbeil also scored for Winnacunnet (3-1) in its Division I match.

Olive Needham had two assists in the win, and Joyia Penachio and Avery Austin both had one. WHS goalie Juliane Banks had six saves.

MERRIMACK — Maya Dinneen, Quinn Latimer, Emma Roeder and Harper Levitsky all scored a goal for Exeter in its Division win.

Both Maria Kokorovets and Kaya Gutstein had one assist, and keeper Brynn Anderson had three saves.

Timberlane 0

PORTSMOUTH — Brooke Ford and Katina Pesiridis both scored for Portsmouth in this Division I match.

Ford opened the scoring with an unassisted goal, while Pesiridis added an insurance goal off an assist from Stella Hoium.

Defensively, Sidney Berg, Anna Matthews and Hannah Martin all played well as goalkeeper Abby Craig had five saves.

DOVER — Kathleen Lynch, on an assist from Kaitlyn Bastille, scored the lone goal for Dover in its Division I loss. Dover goalkeeper Norah O'Malley had 25 saves.

PORTLAND, Maine -The Hawks are now 1-0-1 after this Class A South double overtime contest.

PORTLAND, Maine — Jacqueline Diallo scored four goals, including the game-winner midway through the second half for Traip in this Class C South contest.

Diallo scored three times in the first half to help the Rangers build a 4-3 lead at the break, then netted the decisive goal with 24:54 remaining in regulation. Marlee Mickle also scored for Traip.

Naomi Rice scored three goals for Waynflete, while Amara Redon added a goal.

York goalie Rose Dembele had 13 saves, while counterpart Rachel Yordon had eight.

PORTSMOUTH — Gus Alati scored two goals and Will Lefebvre, Brendan Kumph and Obida Shaban all had one for Portsmouth (2-1-1) in its Division I victory.

Lefebvre and Kumph both had an assist, as did Kai Hudlin. Brock Anderson and Aidan Piela split time in the Portsmouth goal.
