Teaneck football starts fast, hands first loss to Passaic

TEANECK − Five different players scored touchdowns and Teaneck took advantage of a safety and ensuing kickoff return for a nine-point swing on the way to downing Passaic 37-21 at home on Sept. 10.

The clear turning point came early in the second quarter. Teaneck was inside the Indians 1-yard line and fumbled. The ball was recovered by Passaic's Adrian Fabian.
But on the next play, Passaic QB Jamari Miller was dropped in the end zone by Jalen Johnson for a Teaneck safety.
Deyton Walcot ran back the free kick for a 16-0 lead and Teaneck was never threatened.
