Real Madrid predicted starting XI against Rayo Vallecano | La Liga

Real Madrid return to domestic action on Saturday, as Jose Mourinho’s side host Rayo Vallecano in a La Liga local derby at the Bernabeu. A victory will take Los Blancos level with Barcelona at the top of the standings, with the Catalans not in action until Sunday.

With three matches in the space of eight days, it will be no surprise to see Mourinho make changes from the side that started the 2-1 Champions League victory over Inter Milan on Tuesday. Real Madrid welcome back Arda Guler, Eduardo Camavinga and Bernardo Silva from suspension, and all three could be set to make an immediate return to the line-up.

According to Diario AS, Mourinho will make 2-3 changes from the side that narrowly saw off Inter. In midfield, Silva is poised to replace Trent Alexander-Arnold, while Camavinga is in with a chance of taking over from Federico Valverde, who could be given a rest after starting all five of Real Madrid’s matches so far. In attack, Guler is due to return in place of Brahim Diaz.

Real Madrid expected line-up against Rayo in full

It is no surprise that Thibaut Courtois will remain in goals after his heroics against Inter, and Mourinho is poised to name the same defence that started on Tuesday. Denzel Dumfries has struggled since arriving in the summer, but he is in line to keep his place at right-back, with Ibrahim Konate and Dean Huijsen remaining partnered in the centre of defence – and Marc Cucurella on the left once again.

In midfield, it will be Silva and Valverde/Camavinga, with Jude Bellingham playing more advanced. The Englishman will be flanked by Guler on the right and Vinicius on the left, with Kylian Mbappe leading the line once again.

Real Madrid will certainly fancy their chances of another victory on Saturday, with the match taking place at the Bernabeu at 9pm local time (CEST).
