Japanese media reports that Hana Kuraki, 25, was discovered dead in her apartment in the city’s famed red-light district.
A pal discovered her body.
Kuraki — who made her porn debut in 2024 in Please Watch My 22 Years And All About Se x — had announced last spring that she was taking a sabbatical from sexxx-rated cinema.
The starlet rented her apartment from prominent Tokyo club owner Sakito. He told Japanese media her death was a surprise.
“I am deeply saddened and heartbroken to learn of the passing of Hana Kuraki,” Sakito said. “I offer my sincere condolences.”
Explosive relationship with boyfriend
According to Sakito, the adult entertainer was found by one of her friends, who then dialled him. He told reporters that Kuraki had been engaged in an explosive on-again, off-again relationship with another club king, Shota Taira.
The relationship with reportedly violent.
While urging her legions of fans not to speculate, Sakito alluded to Kuraki’s relationship with Taira.
“I hope that no further harm comes to the deceased or those around her through misinformation or speculation,” he wrote. “I also hope for a world free of people who use violence to control others or drive them to such desperate straits.”
So far, cops have not confirmed the actress’s exact cause of death.
But during her brief career, Karaki’s star shone brightly. Despite her porn sabbatical she had planned to attend an adult industry expo in Tapei, Taiwan later this year.
It was estimated she earned $1.9 million yearly. But in June she suddenly announced that she was taking a break, the result of a severe car crash in which she suffered facial and jaw injuries.
“I’ve decided to take a break for a while, so I’ll be suspending activities for a certain period. (I do want to keep up with filming if I can),” she said. “As for the events currently scheduled, I’ll provide an update when I can.”
Hiding bitter heartache?
According to Inside Japan, Taira rented the apartment. But behind her sweet smile, Karaki was masking bitter heartache.
“No matter how much I earned, the money was taken from me… my family’s address was known, so I had no way to escape,” she wrote, adding she had endured “constant physical abuse and threats” and that she was too scared to leave,” she wrote.
However, leaked police documents allege that her car crash injuries were caused when her beau accelerated his car as she got in, dragging her across the pavement.
Japan passed a landmark law in 2025 specifically targeting host clubs that exploit women’s emotions to rack up debts and push them into the sex industry, typically pornography or prostitution.
