Mtasingwa has only made three appearances for Amakhosi since signing in July.
In the three matches he played, the Tanzanian international has not impressed so far.
Following Kaizer Chiefs’ 1-1 draw with Polokwane City, Da Cruz said Mtasingwa was struggling to adapt as he only joined the team in the latter stage of their pre-season.
“It’s related to his adaptation in South Africa because he arrived a little bit late during our preseason,” said da Cruz.
“So he needs time to adapt to our game model. I trust in him a lot.
“After the FIFA break we will play a lot of games so we will need everyone and Adolf will get minutes,” he said as per iDiski Times
Kaizer Chiefs made six signings
Mtasingwa is one of the six signing the club made during the pre-season. With the departure of Thabo Cele, Da Cruz will hope the Tanzanian can deliver and play a big impact in the middle of the park.
Amakhosi are in the CAF Confederation Cup this season and will rely on Mtasingwa’s experience to go further in the competition. Last season, Kaizer Chiefs bowed out in the group stages of the same competition.
With a new coach and renewed hope, the Glamour Boys might fancy their chances especially given they have more attacking options and organised midfield.
