With a little bit of time, how are you feeling about the loss to Texas?

Ohio State Buckeyes fans cheer as the team arrives prior to the NCAA football game against the Texas Longhorns at Darrell K Royal–Texas Memorial Stadium in Austin, Texas on Sept. 12, 2026. | USA TODAY Network via Reuters Co

Throughout the year, we will be asking and answering questions about various Ohio State teams, the players, and anything else on our collective minds of varying degrees of importance. If you have a question that you would like to ask, you can tweet us @LandGrant33, or if you need more than 280 characters, send an email HERE.

I’m a firm believer that you shouldn’t let the wins and losses of your favorite team completely rule your life. Your emotions shouldn’t be dictated for days on end by whether your team has a good game or not. However, sometimes it is difficult to practice what I preach.

So, in this week’s fan survey, we want to know where your head is following the collapse in Austin last Saturday. Then, since the Buckeyes will be back on the field this weekend, we also want you to pick the margin of victory for Saturday’s game.

Take a look at the options below, then vote in the survey at the bottom of the article. On Saturday morning, before the game kicks off, we will share the results, so make sure to check back in with us in a few days. And if you want to explain your rationale or add another option, head down to the comments and break it down.

Question 1: With a little bit of time, how are you feeling about the loss to Texas?

Whatever your emotions were coming out of the game on Saturday night, I don’t think that I can really blame you; after all, I fired off a bit of a pissy column in the hours after the defeat. But now that we are more than 48 hours post-loss, how are you feeling?

In the survey below, I’ve given you six options, but apparently there is a character limit for each line, so here are the full answers that I had in mind. Vote accordingly.

– I’m over it; it’s time to focus on the rest of the season.
– Disappointed, but one loss doesn’t end playoff chances.
– I’m moving on, but still extremely concerned by what we saw.
– Frustrated that the same issues are popping up year after year.
– Still pissed they blew a chance for a major win.
– Ready for sweeping changes so this stops happening.

Question 2: What will be the margin of victory in Ohio State vs. Kent State?

The Buckeyes are 52.5-point favorites heading into their final non-conference game of the season, and the gold standard of college football analytics, SP+, projects OSU to win the game 53-0. So, whether you are looking at the oddsmakers or the analytics, it should be a butt-kicking for the Buckeyes.

Below, I’ve got a few options for margins of victory for you to choose from. Will Ryan Day and company let the Texas loss prevent them from playing their best against the Flashes? Or will they get a measure of revenge by playing a more complete game this week? Let us know what you think.
