Toronto woman, 23, and unknown male wanted for Scarborough distraction robbery

A 23-year-old Toronto woman and an unknown male are wanted following a distraction robbery in Scarborough this past June.

And Toronto Police said they are turning to the public to help locate the female and identify the male suspects.
Police said officers responded at approximately 11:15 a.m. on June 26 to a call for a robbery in the Ellesmere Rd. and Midland Ave. area.
According to police, the victim was walking in the parking lot of a commercial building at approximately 11 a.m.
Requested directions from victim
The female suspect called over to the victim from her vehicle requesting directions, cops said. At the same time, the male suspect drove into the parking lot next to the victim also requesting directions.
It is alleged that the woman exited her vehicle and placed a fake gold chain around the victim’s neck. while placing the fake chain, she ripped off the victim’s personal chain. Both fled the area in vehicles.
A video of the incident was released by investigators.
Female suspect identified
Police said on Saturday that investigators have identified the female suspect. Andreea Ispas is wanted for robbery.
The accused is described as approximately 5-foot-5 with a slim build and black hair. She was last seen wearing a black dress with white trim at the bottom and white shoes.
The male suspect has not yet been identified by police.
