Montse Tomé is announced as Pachuca’s new coach

Pachuca Femenil announced today the appointment of Spanish coach Montse Tomé to Tuzas.

Tomé was appointed after the previous coach, Óscar “Rambo” Torres, was let go by mutual agreement due to poor results in the current tournament.

Pachuca enters Week 9 after losing four straight matches and having collected seven points from eight games. That puts Tuzas in seventh place in the table, outside the playoff positions.

However, it was Torres who led Pachuca to its first league title and to the Champions of Champions title.

Meanwhile, Tomé arrives to Pachuca after an extensive career with Spain’s national team, both at the youth and senior levels.

Most notable among her achievements were the Women’s Nations League in 2023-24, the second place in the 2025 Euros and the fourth place at the Paris Olympics.
