For the second consecutive tournament, the International Team swept Day 2, taking all five matches and turning a 3-2 deficit into a 7-3 lead. Corey Conners and Nick Taylor went the distance over Scottie Scheffler and Sam Burns, as did Ryan Fox and Min Woo Lee over Collin Morikawa and Wyndham Clark.
Tom Kim and Si Woo Kim topped Patrick Cantlay and Xander Schauffele, 4&3, while Adam Scott and Christiaan Bezuidenhout walked past Justin Thomas and Cameron Young, 3&2. That was the same score for Sungjae Im and Hideki Matsuyama over Russell Henley and Jacob Bridgeman.
And so, the longest day of the four-day event is upon us. Day 3 will feature four four-ball (best ball) matches in the morning and four foursomes (alternate shots). There are a total of eight points up for grabs as the International Team is just eight points away from winning this competition for just the second time ever since its inception in 1994.
