Texas women’s soccer

Texas opened its SEC home schedule with a 2-2 draw against No. 8/4 Tennessee at Mike A. Myers Stadium last Frieday. Mya Brandon and Ashlyn Anderson scored their first goals as Longhorns in the span of just 47 seconds. The nearly consecutive scores gave Texas its first lead over the Volunteers this season. Tennessee evened play in the 68th minute. The draw moved Texas to 5-2-2 overall and 0-1-1 in SEC play.

Brandon was named SEC Offensive Player of the Week.

On Thursday night, the Horns traveled to Gainesville to face off against the Gators, notching another point with a 1-1 draw as Anderson scored a goal in consecutive matches with a penalty kick in the 30th minute. Thirty minutes later, Florida responded with a goal from a set piece to tie the match, a curling 20-yard shot from a free kick just outside the box.

Texas women’s tennis

Texas made its program’s presence known at the ITA All-American Championships in Cary, North Carolina. Mathilde Ngijol-Carré advanced through two singles rounds before falling to Georgia’s Bella Payne. Meanwhile, Salma Drugdova picked up her own consolation bracket win.

In the main draw, Carmen Herea and Rose Marie Nijkamp each won opening singles matches, while Eszter Meri fell to Ohio State’s Luciana Perry over the course of three hard-earned sets.

Herea and Nijkamp also advanced in doubles with a win over North Carolina.

Texas women’s golf

The Jackson T. Stephens Cup was played before this past Friday-to-Thursday cycle, but Farah O’Keefe earned a significant Texas women’s sports headline this week — O’Keefe was named SEC Women’s Golfer of the Week after winning co-medalist honors at the event and helping Texas finish third. The victory was the sixth of her career.

The win ties her for second in Longhorn history.

O’Keefe is now No. 1, according to the World Amateur Golf Ranking.

In Preview: Sept. 25-Oct. 1

Friday, Sept. 25: Volleyball at No. 13 Tennessee: 6 p.m. Central on SEC Network

Texas opens SEC play against No. 13 Tennessee at Thompson-Boiling Arena in Knoxville. The Longhorns enter conference play at 4-4 after a 3-1 win over No. 6 Wisconsin on Sept. 13.

Friday, Sept. 25: Women’s 6K: 8 a.m. Central on SEC Network+

Texas heads to Columbia, Missouri for the Gans Creek Classic.

Friday, Sept. 25: Texas women’s swimming and diving, 3 p.m. Central (no TV or streaming listed)

Texas opens its 2026-27 season by hosting the Sam Kendricks Dust Off Your Boots Classic at the Lee and Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center. The Longhorns enter the season ranked No. 3 in the CSCAA preseason poll and are coming off 14 consecutive conference championships.

Sept. 25-27: Texas women’s tennis

The ITA All-American Championships continues through Sunday.

Sunday, Sept. 27: Texas volleyball at No. 3 Kentucky, 12 p.m. Central on ESPN

Texas remains on the road Sunday when it visits No. 3 Kentucky at Memorial Coliseum in Lexington.

Sunday, Sept. 27: Texas women’s soccer at Ole Miss, 1 p.m. Central on SEC Network+

Texas stays on the road for its second straight SEC match, traveling to Oxford to face Ole Miss.

Tuesday, Sept. 29: Texas softball vs. Murray State, 6 p.m. Central (no TV or streaming listed)

Texas softball begins its fall schedule against Murray State at McCombs Field.
