UND unveils jerseys for U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame Game

UND's jerseys for the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame Game on Halloween night in Austin, Texas, are a nod to the ones worn when Ralph Engelstad Arena opened 25 years ago.
The jerseys are green with 'NoDak' written diagonally across the front.
The bottom features diagonal black-and-white stripes like the jerseys former greats Zach Parise, Brandon Bochenski, Matt Greene, Jonathan Toews, T.J. Oshie and Ryan Duncan wore during their careers.
The nameplate and number on the back are the same font UND used during that era, too.
The old nameplates were curved, but because jerseys are smaller now, it would be difficult to fit longer last names.
The U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame Game logo is on the back above the nameplate.
UND equipment manager Dan Johansson and manufacturer CCM designed the jerseys.
They began creating them two and a half years ago. The jerseys were completed last year.
UND held a photo shoot with the players and the jerseys last week in Ralph Engelstad Arena.
They created two jerseys — one for warmups and one for the game. They'll auction off the warmup jerseys during the game in Austin. The game-worn jerseys will be auctioned off in the future.
