Mililani was tested in a big way this week by a surging Campbell squad but pulled out the win. Kapolei taking on Kahuku in a 3-vs-4 matchup will be the game to watch this weekend.
Below are the top 25 Hawaii high school football teams, according to the Massey Ratings, as of September 28.

1. Mililani (6-0)
The Trojans were tested against No. 2-ranked Campbell but held on to win 35-30 in what was probably the game of the year. The Warriors were playing without two of their top receivers in Cal commit Zion White and Bless Cabrera-Hopkins but were still able to put up points and get the win. The Warriors will play at Kailua on Friday. ,
2. James Campbell (5-2)
The Sabers fought hard but lost a tough one to Mililani 35-30. They stay at No. 2 in the state rankings, and it will surprise no one if these two meet again for a State Championship. Campbell will play at Leilehua on Friday.
3. Kapolei (5-1)
The Hurricanes had a dominant 58-14 win over Kailua to move to 5-1 on the season. They host No. 4-rated Kahuku on Saturday in the state’s marquee matchup of the week.
4. Kahuku (4-3)
After three straight losses, Kahuku got back on the track with a 50-6 win over Leilehua. The Red Raiders will play No. 3-ranked Kapolei on Saturday.
5. Kamehameha (3-4)
The Warriors flexed their tough defense and took down St. Louis 23-3 to move to 3-4 on the season. The Warriors will play at Pac-Five on Friday.
6. Waipahu (6-1)
The Marauders won their top-10 matchup with Wai’anae in convincing fashion, 42-14. They’ll hit the road to play at Moanalua on Friday.
7. Punahou (1-4-1)
The Buff ‘n Blue lost a close one to Cardinal Newman, out of Northern California, 22-21. They play at St. Louis on Saturday.
8. St. Louis (0-6)
The Crusaders lost to a very tough Kamehameha squad, 23-3 and are still looking for their first win of the year. St. Louis will host Punahou on Friday.
9. Wai’anae (4-1)
The Seariders lost their first game of the year to Waipahu 42-14. They will try and get back in the win column on Friday when they head to Farrington.
10. Kapaa (2-1-1)
The Warriors are coming off a bye and will host Kaua’i on Saturday.
