‘Best Cowboys WR of All Time,’ ‘Ended the Houston Texans’ Season’ — NFL World Raves Over CeeDee Lamb’s Dominating Performance in Dallas’ Week 4 Win
· Yahoo Sports
CeeDee Lamb spent Sunday afternoon putting on a receiving clinic against the Houston Texans, then saved his biggest catch for the one that decided the game.
The Dallas Cowboys needed a late answer after Houston retook the lead with just over two minutes remaining. Lamb provided it, capping a career day with the winning 12-yard touchdown to send Dallas home with a 34-30 victory.

CeeDee Lamb’s Record Day Has the NFL World Talking
Lamb caught a career-high 17 passes for 189 yards and a touchdown on 21 targets. Eleven of those catches and 140 of those yards came after halftime, when Dallas erased a 16-6 deficit and repeatedly turned to No. 88 to keep the offense moving.
His 17 receptions set a Cowboys single-game record for a wide receiver, giving fans plenty to talk about after the final whistle. Some praised Lamb as one of the league’s best, while others had fun with just how much damage he did to Houston.
“CeeDee Lamb may never be welcomed back to Houston,” Cowboys writer Clarence Hill Jr. remarked.
Lamb, of course, was born in Louisiana but grew up in Houston, Texas.
By the time Lamb crossed the goal line, fans were already calling him the “best Cowboys WR of all time.”
One Houston fan had a much more painful reaction after Lamb’s late score. “CeeDee Lamb just ended the Houston Texans’ season,”he wrote.
That line hits even harder with Houston now sitting at 0-4. Lamb’s touchdown came with 40 seconds left, capping an 11-play, 74-yard drive after the Texans had retaken the lead.

Bobby Belt of 105.3 The Fan had seen enough before the final whistle. “There’s not a receiver in the NFL playing better than CeeDee Lamb right now,”Belt wrote.
Lamb’searlier frustration with Dak Prescott after a missed look felt like a distant memory by the final drive. Houston spent the second half learning what happens when Prescott keeps going back to No. 88.
The Numbers Somehow Look Even Wilder
StatMuse summed up Lamb’s last three games with a stat line that almost looks too good to be real.
He had 17 catches for 189 yards and a touchdown against Houston, seven for 112 against Baltimore and eight for 153 with two touchdowns against Washington.
“Unreal,”StatMuse wrote in a tweet about the production.

Analyst Tom Downey found another way to make the afternoon look ridiculous. “CeeDee Lamb had more yards on offense today than 2 NFL teams,”Downey tweeted.
Lamb’s 189 receiving yards topped the Eagles’ 172 total yards and the Jets’ 157.
“Dallas Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb was targeted on 21/45 routes during Sunday’s win in Houston, the most targets by any receiver to have run 45 or fewer routes in a game during the Next Gen Stats era (since 2016),”RJ Ochoa noted.
Dallas needed every bit of it. Prescott finished with 335 passing yards, Javonte Williams scored three second-half rushing touchdowns, and the Cowboys still needed Lamb to finish the job with 40 seconds left.
Lamb now has 37 catches for 498 yards and four touchdowns through four games, putting him firmly in the middle of the NFL’s early-season receiving conversation. After Sunday’s performance, it’s hard to imagine Dallas asking for much more from its star wideout.
