Browns remaining schedule on easy side, with 2 AFC North teams; but where does it rank?
· Yahoo Sports
In sports media, you have mostly two options: Look ahead or look behind. When a team sits with a 3-1 record, atop the AFC North, and has two first-round picks in the 2027 NFL draft, it is fun to do a little of both. The Cleveland Browns are a fun team, full of mostly likable, young players.

As the NFL schedule turns to the first full week of October, trade rumors (both selling and buying for the Browns) will start to heat up, while we look ahead to what the second quarter of the 2026 season could look like.
Cleveland is an underdog heading into Week 5 versus the New York Jets, despite the latter’s 1-3 record, and their Week 6 opponent, the Baltimore Ravens, have a big injury question with QB Lamar Jackson. Given the Browns’ sterling record and being tied for the second-best mark in the AFC overall through four weeks, all the schedule details matter.
According to an updated Strength of Schedule measure, Cleveland, Baltimore, and the Cincinnati Bengals all fall on the easy half of remaining schedules, with the Bengals having the third easiest, the Browns ninth, and the Ravens 11th:
As of the end of Week 4, Cleveland only has four games against teams that currently have winning records, including the surprising Las Vegas Raiders and New York Giants. The other two above-.500 games are against the Ravens.
Two of the teams that are currently winless, the Tennessee Titans and Houston Texans, are on the Browns’ future schedule, and they’ve already played the still-winless Tampa Bay Buccaneers this year.
Strength of Schedule can change rapidly, but four games is a good amount of information to process in order to look ahead a bit.
How big of a deal do you think Strength of Schedule is for looking ahead? Do you think that, through four games, we have a decent idea about teams? If not, how many weeks does it take?
