After Mack Hollins suffered a calf injury against the Bills, Patriots coach Mike Vrabel said the team could explore options at wide receiver. Could one of them be Tyreek Hill?
Hill wouldn't be an immediate fix, as he is finishing up his recovery from last year's major knee injury, but he could add an intriguing element to any offense down the stretch once he's ready to play.
As the Patriots weigh whether to add at the position, one insider explained why Hill wouldn't be the right fit for the Patriots.

Speaking on "Zolak & Bertrand" on Tuesday, ESPN's Mike Reiss said he wouldn't pursue Hill if he were the Patriots.
"It would make me nervous, just everything around him," Reiss said, likely referring to the litany of off-field troubles that have followed Hill since his collegiate days. Hill is currently under NFL investigation for a Personal Conduct Policy violation after he was accused of domestic abuse in divorce filings in 2025, Pro Football Talk confirmed.

When pressed on the kind of impact Hill could make just by forcing defenses to cover him, Reiss was apprehensive that he could still put that kind of scare into teams at his age and coming off a significant knee injury.
When Scott Zolak said Hill's presence would make an opposing safety "nervous" because "you got to find [Hill], Reiss asked, "You still do?"
The kind of impact Hill can make after missing more than a year with multiple ligament years and a dislocated knee is a mystery that could make teams apprehensive as he prepares to return to the NFL. The Chiefs, however, already know Hill well and could be more willing to be patient with him, which has made Kansas City the top potential landing spot for the former All-Pro.
