KAIZER CHIEFS AND STELLENBOSCH FC CHANGES

Coach Fernando Da Cruz has replaced Lebohang Maboe through injury, while Pule Mmodi and Luke Baartman have been dropped for tactical reason. In their places are Paseka Mako, Mduduzi Shabalala and Wandile Duba.

On the opposite side, coach Gavin Hunt has set no less than four changes. Out: Darrel Matsheke, Keanan Johannesen, Raoul Daniels, and Bradley Grobler. In: Thabiso Lebitso, Njabulo Blom, Quan Plaatjies and Ashley Du Preez.

With the addition of coach Hunt, the Stellies side feature four former Amakhosi players in Msimango, Matlou, Blom and Du Preez.

Kaizer Chiefs are looking to avenge their 2-1 defeat to Stellenbosch FC in their last meeting on 24 February 2026 at FNB Stadium in the Betway Premiership.

The Glamour Boys have enjoyed a respectable start to this Betway Premiership term. They are yet to taste defeat after seven matches. Amakhosi sit fourth on the log with 13 points after recording three wins and four draws, showing improved consistency despite a recent run of stalemates and a growing midfield injury crisis.

Stellenbosch FC, meanwhile, have endured a more challenging campaign, with a demanding schedule forcing them to play seven of their first nine fixtures away from home.

Stellies occupy seventh place with nine points from seven matches, having recorded two wins, three draws and two defeats. Their latest result before the October international break was a narrow 1-0 away victory over Kruger United.

PREVIOUS MEETING

Amakhosi took the lead in the 36th minute through Flávio Silva and went into half-time with a 1-0 advantage. However, Stellenbosch FC fought back in the second half, with Langelihle Phili equalising in the 51st minute before Devin Titus scored the winner in the 87th minute to secure all three points for the visitors.
