Brighton 1, West Field 0

Savannah Zenger’s goal lifted No. 4 seed Brighton to a 1-0 victory over No. 12 seed West Field in a 5A Playoffs quarterfinal game. Zenger, who eliminated West Field from last year’s playoffs with a free kick, once again proved to be the Longhorns’ nemesis. Goalkeeper Lilah Sligting recorded her 10.5th shutout of the season, underscoring Brighton’s strong defensive performance. West Field, coming off a stunning first-round upset over Box Elder, was unable to break through Brighton’s stifling back line. In a scoreless battle through regulation and overtime, the Golden Eagles triumphed 4-2 in the shootout to secure their place in the semifinals. Despite Salem Hills’ previous breakthrough against Timpview, they could not solve Peterson or the sturdy defense of Maple Mountain on the day.

Olympus 2, Viewmont 1

Taylor Beck’s decisive goal led No. 3 seed Olympus to a 2-1 victory over No. 11 seed Viewmont in the 5A Playoffs. The clash saw the Titans demonstrate their depth as Jade Cavazos also found the back of the net, continuing Olympus’ trend of scoring at least three goals in both previous encounters against Viewmont this season. Viewmont’s Lucy Layton scored to tie the game in the second quarter, but the Vikings couldn’t replicate their previous defensive prowess against a strong Olympus attack.

Green Canyon 6, East 1

Chloe Sadler’s standout performance with a goal and two assists propelled No. 2 seed Green Canyon to a 6-1 victory over No. 7 seed East in the 4A quarterfinals. The Wolves, who have been a dominant force this season, showcased their offensive power at home with additional goals from Eva Israelsen, who netted twice, Liv Maw, Kloey Tensmeyer, and Autumn Howell. Despite Mable Meinhardt scoring for East, the Leopards couldn’t keep pace with Green Canyon’s relentless attack. Green Canyon advanced to the semifinals, continuing their remarkable season run.

Ridgeline 2, Mountain View 1

Samantha Brown’s decisive goal lifted No. 4 seed Ridgeline to a 2-1 victory over No. 5 seed Mountain View in the 4A playoffs quarterfinals. Brown, who now has 20 goals this season, was supported by a first goal from Paisley Patrick.
