All Elite WrestlingWhen Tony Khan introduced the AEW WrestleDream pay-per-view, he named it after New Japan Pro-Wrestling founder Antonio Inoki, whom he dubbed “wrestling’s greatest dreamer.” Inoki passed away in October 2022.
Now in its fourth year, the 2026 edition of WrestleDream will take place on Saturday, Oct. 17 at Addition Financial Arena in Orlando, Florida. This venue hosted Revolution in 2022 and Worlds End in 2024.
A Clockwork Carnage match for the AEW World Championship will headline this PPV. It’s a combination of a gauntlet match and an iron man match created by Will Ospreay, who introduced this concept in Pro-Wrestling Eve. The Aerial Assassin is a producer and part of the creative team at PWE.
Seven competitors earned a spot in Clockwork Carnage through qualifying matches, including Samoa Joe, who defeated Jack Perry; Konosuke Takeshita, who defeated Brian Cage; and Adam Copeland, who also topped Josh Alexander to join the match. Despite Ospreay’s monumental victory at All In, retaining the AEW World Championship against seven challengers presents a difficult task heading into Full Gear.
