Jalen Hurts' season likely over

· Yahoo Sports

Philadelphia Eagles QB Jalen Hurts (blood clots) will likely miss three months as he undergoes treatment for blood clots, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Hurts was initially diagnosed with left calf superficial vein thrombosis but is now diagnoed with a deep vein thrombosis and bilateral pulmonary emboli. This will require a treatment of blood thinners, and he won't be able to take part in contact activities while doing so.

Why it Matters: Three months puts the return date into January, which effectively ends his season. Tanner McKee was 26-for-45 or 215 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions in his first NFL start against the Carolina Panthers. He'll be a QB2 option best served in superflex and two-QB leagues.
