Troy Aikman unmoved by Cowboys' win over Eagles: 'Let's not get carried away'
· Yahoo Sports
The Cowboys picked up a win Monday against the division-rival Eagles, but one analyst wasn't so impressed.
After the game, Troy Aikman gave his honest take on Dallas' 38-21 victory over Philadelphia at Lincoln Financial Field, saying that it shouldn't necessarily boost the Cowboys' confidence as they near the halfway point of the NFL season.

"Eh, not really. Not really," said Aikman, when asked if Monday night's result changes the way he sees the team. "And I don't mean that as a negative... This is a beat-up Philadelphia team. To come in here and win tonight, I mean, let's not get carried away."
Scott Van Pelt: "Does tonight kind of change the way you see [the Cowboys]?" Troy Aikman: "Eh, not really. Not really. And I don't mean that as a negative... This is a beat-up Philadelphia team. To come in here and win tonight, I mean, let's not get carried away." 🏈🎙️ https://t.co/kZrwflNWQy

The Eagles were without their starting quarterback, Jalen Hurts, who was lost for the season due to blood clots, and running back Saquon Barkley was hobbled by a hamstring injury in Monday's game. Dallas' defense had maybe its best performance of the season, sacking backup quarterback Tanner McKee twice, and an interception by DeMarvion Overshown sealed the win.
The NFC East remains weak with three teams below .500 (including Dallas). A win over struggling Philadelphia may not say much about the Cowboys right now, but it may prove to be an important first step towards a division title.
