Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker has been superb for many seasons. That has ceased thus far in 2026.

Butker has missed 5 of his 16 field-goal attempts and one PAT attempt.

That has caused Andy Reid and the Chiefs to make a move to bolster their kicking situation.

"We love Harrison," Reid said. "He's one of my favorite guys. Sometimes things don't go quite the way you want them, and you work on that. He understands the business and how it works. He's struggled a little bit. Butker will get most of the reps this week. We'll just see where it goes. It's fluid."

The signing isn't without controversy despite the player being on the practice squad for now.

Former Baltimore Ravens star Justin Tucker is the player the Chiefs have added.

Tucker has been out of the NFL since 2024. He was hit with a 10-game suspension after being accused of sexual misconduct by 16 massage therapists in a Baltimore Banner investigative report.

"He's done his suspension and took care of that business," Reid said. "I'll leave it at that. We try to do our homework the best way we possibly can and talk to a lot of people and make sure things are OK."

Tucker spent 13 seasons with the Baltimore Ravens as the most elite kicker in the game. He was released in May 2025 after the allegations were reported.
