Kelce admitted that he has to be better. The veteran tight end added that he has also been frustrated with himself, particularly after the Chiefs’ Week 5 bye.
“We got a lot of fight,” Kelce said. “And you gotta take the positives out of this, you can’t dwell on it. It’s a pretty good football team. Obviously in our hearts, we feel like we should have came out with a victory. But at the same time, that’s not the reality of things. The reality of things is that we got to fix a lot. And the little things, mistakes, it starts with the person that you’re looking in the mirror. And I’m one of them. I’ve been frustrated with myself on how long I’ve been in the league.
“For the past three games, really. Really since the bye. And it’s frustrating… I gotta be better for my teammates. And that sets the tone for a lot of people in this room. Everybody’s just gotta up the ante from that. But I think we showed some fight, a lot of fight. I can take that out of this.”
