Rouleau pledged to the Wolverines' staff in March. The 6-foot-5, 265-pound offensive tackle was rated No. 52 in the nation at his position, No. 76 in the state of Texas and No. 577 overall in the class of 2027 according to 247Sports' composite rankings.

U-M (5-3, 2-3 Big Ten) has struggled this season, particularly on the offensive line, and now has suffered its first loss of a commit. Michigan, which has the No. 18 ranked class of 2027, now has 21 verbal commitments, three of whom are offensive linemen: Kalamazoo Loy Norrix four-star tackle Jakari Lipsey; Oceanside, California, four-star interior lineman Lincoln Mageo; and Saline three-star interior lineman Louis Esposito, son of former U-M defensive line coach Lou Esposito.
