Amakhosi recently signed Bafana Bafana winger Elias Mokwana on a free transfer. The Soweto giants have been linked with a number of players in recent months, including former Al Ahly winger Percy Tau.

Kaizer Chiefs legend Brian Baloyi has urged his former team to sign the 32-year-old attacker

“January is coming, and will Kaizer Chiefs go into the market? I believe they should, but only time will tell. There are a lot of players who are available right now. I could mention three players who could bring something to Kaizer Chiefs,” Baloyi told SoccerBeat last month.

“I think Percy Tau is available and still has a lot to give to the game. I think Chiefs need a player like him who has won everything, and he will bring that into the dressing room. He will bring the attitude, talent and professionalism,” he added.

Baloyi believes Tau’s experience at the highest level could prove particularly valuable to a Chiefs squad looking to compete for silverware.

The Chiefs legend also suggested Thembinkosi Lorch as a potential signing in the next transfer. The experienced winger has not had much success of late in Libya, and there were rumours he could be out of the club in January.

It remains to be seen if Amakhosi will bring more experienced players in January.
