Didier Deschamps Delivers Injury Update on PSG's Ousmane Dembele

After coming off grimacing in the 57th minute of the France vs. Brazil match Thursday night, Ousmane Dembele is doing well according to his entourage, which was also confirmed by Didier Deschamps.

It was a clearly tactical choice, but the Ballon d'Or winner grimaced somewhat as he came off, while touching his right thigh. That was bound to raise some concern given his injury history. But Dembele's entourage sought to be reassuring after the match, telling Canal+ journalist Bertrand Latour that there was no cause for concern.

Moreover, according to the Canal+ journalist, it was planned that Dembele would only play about an hour against Brazil regardless, and Didier Deschamps also sought to be reassuring after the French team's 2-1 victory: "No, it's fine, there's no problem," the French coach assured on TF1.

Didier Deschamps also told TF1 that he planned to make many changes Sunday night against Colombia: "I'm going to make a lot of changes, maybe even 11. That was my plan. I want to see the players." Ousmane Dembele is therefore not expected to start against the Colombians, unlike Desire Doue (who came on in the 66th minute against Brazil) and possibly Warren Zaire-Emery.
