“Punked is crazy, but, I mean, just look at the film. See what we can gain from it. We know what we struggled at,” Edwards explained while discussing the Game 2 collapse (via Anthony Slater).
“Come out and just try to match their physicality,” he added while looking ahead towards an important Game 3 in the playoff series.
Minnesota now face major pressure entering the next matchup because the Spurs completely shifted momentum after Game 1.
Anthony Edwards struggled badly in Game 2 defeat
Edwards failed to replicate his strong impact from Game 1 and endured a tough playoff performance against the Spurs on Wednesday night.
The All-Star guard finished with only 12 points and three rebounds, shooting 38% from the field and just 20% from three-point range.
Edwards also played only 24 minutes, which initially appeared surprising considering the importance of the playoff game for Minnesota.
However, the reduced workload came because of the blowout result and the Timberwolves continuing to carefully manage his recovery from a left knee bone bruise.
