Alabama softball knows when its first appearance of the 2026 Women’s College World Series will be.

The No. 1 overall-seeded Crimson Tide will take on No. 8 seed UCLA at 6 p.m. CT on Thursday, May 28. The game will air on ESPN2.
Alabama is coming off a sweep over No. 16 seed LSU, earning a 7-0 shutout and 4-1 series-clinching win this past weekend at the Tuscaloosa Super Regional.
UCLA also swept its series against UCF to earn the Los Angeles Super Regional title. The Bruins run-ruled the Knights 9-1 to start, sweeping with a 14-4 final win.
Alabama has seen UCLA before, but the Crimson Tide hasn't seen much success. Alabama is 1-6 against the Bruins, last facing UCLA on Feb. 15, 2025 in a 6-3 loss. Alabama's only win against UCLA came in the 2021 Women's College World Series.
