Lions News: NFL analyst predicts Jahmyr Gibbs to win 2026 OPOY
· Yahoo Sports
Offseason workouts have only just begun, but one NFL analyst is already convinced that Detroit Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs will truly have a “superstar” level season.

Good Morning Football’s Kyle Brandt said on the show Monday that he expects Gibbs will explode in 2026.
“I think Jahmyr Gibbs is going to be Offensive Player of the Year this year. I think he is going — nuclear, stratosphere. In terms of an investment in a player, there is no one I’m all in on more than number 0 for the Detroit Lions,” he said.
Brandt acknowledged the Sonic and Knuckles running back tandem that once was, but compared Gibbs’ emergence to other pop culture figures—Beyonce leaving Destiny’s Child.
“I love David Montgomery, but he gone. Jahmyr Gibb is one the true guys who can be a solo artist and I’m talking like … Offensive Player of the Year-level stuff,” he said.

Speaking on Detroit as a whole, Brandt believes the Lions are an imperfect team with a perfect running back. He also had a pointed comment about the state of the Lions and how they’ve now become relevant in the league every season.
“It speaks to Dan Campbell that we’re sitting here talking about the Detroit Lions going 9-8 last year as this huge disappointment,” he said. “I mean, there were times when Lions fans would’ve cut off a finger to win nine games.”
True.

- Looks like Kerby Joseph was having a blast with the kids helping out at Jameson Williams’ youth football camp. I love when players are actually friends.
Kerby Joseph is helping out at Jamo’s football camp today, and absolutely enjoying the kids’ “creative” running forms is the wholesome Lions content we deserve. 💙
