Broncos WR reverts to season-ending injured reserve after clearing waivers
· Yahoo Sports
After being waived by the Denver Broncos with an injury designation on Tuesday, wide receiver Michael Woods has cleared the NFL's waiver wire and reverted to Denver's injured reserve list.
Because the Broncos have not yet set their 53-man roster, Woods was placed on season-ending injured reserve. Unless he reaches an injury settlement with Denver and is released, Woods won't be eligible to play this season.

The Broncos also waived cornerback Paul Manning on Tuesday. Manning was also injured, but unlike Woods, Manning received an injury settlement. So after clearing waivers today, Manning is now a free agent, eligible to sign with any team.

Denver replaced Woods and Manning on the 91-man offseason roster by signing two players from the UFL: wide receiver Hakeem Butler and cornerback/returner Sean Fresch. The team wrapped up Day 2 of mandatory minicamp on Wednesday. After coach Sean Payton canceled Thursday's practice, players now have a summer break.
