Insights shared through The Lounge Podcast helped clarify how Sarratt views that transition and why he’s open to expanding his responsibilities. He said.

“I didn’t play much of it in college wish I would have but just so far I love it got a lot of space to work.”

He also noted.

“Being able to go in the slot and get different matchups on safeties linebackers I love that a lot so far.”

That type of adaptability is important in modern NFL offenses, where matchups dictate success more than traditional positioning does. Sarratt’s ability to play both inside and outside could make him a valuable rotational piece early in his career. The more comfortable he becomes in multiple alignments, the more difficult it becomes for defenses to predict his usage.
