According to ESPN's Shams Charania, the Celtics are trading superstar forward Jaylen Brown to the Philadelphia 76ers for former All-Star Paul George and a plethora of draft picks.

There is a lot to digest with this trade, so let's get straight into the details.

Jaylen Brown for Paul George trade details

Per Charania, the 76ers are sending George, a 2028 first-round pick that can be converted into a swap that would be most favorable to Boston, an unprotected 2031 first-round pick, and two second-round picks (2028 and 2030) to the Celtics for Brown.

Here are the full details from Charania:

"Details on 76ers picks to the Celtics, per sources: 2028 first-round pick that could convert from a first to a swap that is more favorable to Boston. 2031 unprotected Philadelphia first. 2028 second round, most favorable of GSW/OKC/MIL 2030 second, most favorable of WAS/PORT/PHX," Charania wrote.

Brown's exit from Boston was only a matter of time, as the All-NBA forward clearly wanted a fresh start after being included in the Celtics' failed trade talks for Giannis Antetokounmpo with the Milwaukee Bucks.

And at last, Brown gets his wish, as he heads to the 76ers to compete for an NBA title with Tyrese Maxey and Joel Embiid. It's safe to say that Philadelphia will be one of the top contenders in the East and the biggest threat to the defending champion New York Knicks, at least in the conference.e

As for Boston, the organization is now headed into a new era, and trading away Brown leaves more questions than answers.
