The Cleveland Cavaliers and Miami Heat are reportedly the other teams leading the race to sign James. He has played for them both, with two stints with his hometown team and four years in South Beach. The 22-time All-Star is still playing at a high level despite being 41 years old.
However, he could also agree to terms with a different team in free agency. James is looking for the best fit and chance of winning his fifth ring.

He was named an All-Star all eight seasons in Los Angeles and earned seven All-NBA honors in that span. James also passed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar on Feb. 7, 2023, to become the league’s all-time leading scorer.
