Report: Bucks will sign Ousmane Dieng to multi-year deal

Ousmane Dieng is returning to the Milwaukee Bucks.

After a bit of salary-cap gymnastics, the 23-year-old French forward has agreed to a three-year, $17.5 million deal with the Bucks, ESPN's Shams Charania reported on June 30.

The contract comes a day after the Bucks did not tender a qualifying offer on Dieng, who was acquired at the trade deadline. The move allowed Milwaukee to re-sign Dieng on the multi-year deal at a smaller number.

After landing with the Bucks, Dieng was praised as a quick learner. He played in 30 games with Milwaukee, starting 20, and averaged 11.0 points, 4.6 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game.

Dieng scored a career-high 36 points against the Houston Rockets on April 1.
