The Cleveland Cavaliers are still chasing after LeBron James.

Maybe they're going after his son Bronny, too.

LeBron is a free agent, now 41 years old, who is considering what might be the final stop in his NBA career.

The Cavs have been reported as a logical landing spot, and it'd certainly be cool to see him go home once again.

MORE: Bronny James' best future doesn't involve a trade from Lakers

Cleveland has been very competitive in recent seasons, too, and if they can pull off the financial side of this, adding LeBron would be an amazing move both on the court and off.

They're also thinking about something else -- Bronny, and how to get him.

Bronny isn't a free agent. He's under contract with the Los Angeles Lakers, where he'll be paid a fully guaranteed $2.3 million in 2026-27, then has a team option that could be activated for 2027-28.

A team that gets LeBron wouldn't necessarily have to go trade for Bronny.

The Cavs, though, are at least leaving their options open. NBA insider Marc Stein has reported the Cavs are leaving a spot open if they want to trade for Bronny.

On paper, Bronny wouldn't cost a ton in a trade, but an affordable player who can give you rotation minutes does have some value.

The Lakers could also play hard-ball if they feel the Cavs will trade for Bronny no matter what.

Or, alternatively, LeBron could say he'd prefer Bronny to develop out of his own shadow.

Nothing is a given here, but it's interesting that the Cavs are thinking about how Bronny could factor into this whole picture. That certainly makes it seem like they think they have a real chance of landing LeBron.
