Malik Nabers leads Giants trio in narrow misses of ESPN top rankings
· Yahoo Sports
The New York Giants boast significant high-end talent on their roster as they prepare for the upcoming season, with several players regarded among the league’s best at their respective positions.
ESPN named Malik Nabers, Isaiah Likely, and Tremaine Edmunds as players who narrowly missed the top 10 in their positional rankings this year, with Nabers standing out as the highest-profile Giants player to fall just short of that recognition.

Malik Nabers
Nabers was a phenomenon in his rookie season, catching 109 passes for 1,204 yards. He tore his ACL last September and is still recovering, so voters favored receivers whose health was more certain. "He's easily a top-10 receiver. The knee situation is worrisome, but hopefully he bounces back soon. But he can do everything you need," an AFC executive said.
Nabers missed 13 games last season after suffering a torn ACL in Week 4 against the Los Angeles Chargers. When healthy, he has shown himself to be a high-volume receiver, though more will need to be seen from him following his strong rookie campaign in 2024.
Isaiah Likely
Likely played less in 2025 than 2024 because of a mix of injuries and the Ravens' positional depth. He went for 307 yards and one touchdown, then followed former Ravens coach John Harbaugh to the Giants after signing a three-year, $40 million deal.
Likely spent the first four years of his career with the Baltimore Ravens, playing behind Mark Andrews, before signing with the Giants this offseason. He has yet to record more than 477 receiving yards in a season, but is expected to have a breakout year in 2026.
Tremaine Edmunds
The Chicago Bears released Edmunds despite a season in which he made 112 tackles and picked off four passes. He signed a three-year, $36 million contract with the Giants.
Edmunds was among the league leaders in interceptions last season with four while playing for the Chicago Bears. He also recorded nine passes defensed and one sack.
