After 48 hours of torrential rain, the New Mexico United returned to Albuquerque matchless.
The USL Championship postponed the match between New Mexico and Birmingham Legion FC for the second straight day because of an unplayable field oversaturated by rain in the area. The teams were supposed to play Friday, but a thunderstorm that produced over an inch-and-a-half of rain pushed the match to Saturday.

Rain continued into Saturday, leading to the decision. League officials said in a news release the match will be rescheduled in the coming days.
New Mexico entered the match having won four straight contests and is unbeaten in its last eight.
The United return home for a match Saturday against the Colorado Springs Switchbacks at Isotopes Park.
